old/new dining chairs
I recently purchased 6 of these chairs off of a local buy/sell website. Beautiful, don't you think? I plan to spray them and re-upholster the seats. The fabric is nasty. I am thinking either white-ish or black for the frames (I have recruited a spray paint extraordinaire/friend to help with the frames-she does a much better job than I do armed with spray paint?) and have no idea what I want for fabric! I know that will be a tough decision for me, narrowing down the 20 or so fabrics I decide I love. Feel free to give advice...

ooohhh, I'm excited to help you spruce up those beauties! Those are exactly like what I am looking for for my own dining room.
I LOVE them! They are even cooler than I imagined. SO hard to choose colours and fabrics. good luck!
Oh fun! I love spray painting things. Amazing stuff, spray paint. They're going to look really cool.
About the chalk board project you commented about on my blog, yes it takes a lot of magnetic primer to get a good strong magnetic pull. The can of paint (not spray paint... sadly I don't think they make magnetic spray primer) said that it needs at least 2 coats. So I kept painting and my husband kept telling me that it needed another coat. When I got to 10 coats it was pretty good, but I decided to just use up the rest of the can because at that point what was I going to do with 1/6th of a can of paint? Anyway, hope that helped.
